4. REGULATORY INFORMATION
4.1 Commercial Register
Wyoming Secretary of State, Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States
Filing ID: 2026-002048530
4.2 Professional Regulations
Not applicable — no regulated professions within the meaning of § 5(1) No. 5 DDG.
4.3 Contact Points under the Digital Services Act
Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 requires providers of intermediary services to name two contact points. They are stated here irrespective of how the services are ultimately classified, so that authorities and users always have an addressable route.
Point of contact for authorities of the Member States, the Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Art. 11 DSA): hello@digitalfreedom.co.za
Point of contact for recipients of the service (Art. 12 DSA): support@digitalfreedom.co.za, or the support form at https://support.apps.digitalfreedom.co.za
Communication with both contact points is handled by a person; it is not exclusively automated.
Languages accepted: English and German.
Legal representative in the Union (Art. 13 DSA): none designated. Art. 13(1) addresses providers of intermediary services without an establishment in the Union, not only online platforms — so the fact that the services are not an online platform within Art. 3(i) does not by itself remove the duty. Whether the services are an intermediary service at all is the open question, and the position taken is set out above: the contact points under Art. 11 and 12 are published regardless, and no representative is designated. The risk is carried deliberately.
5. RESPONSIBLE FOR EDITORIAL CONTENT
Responsible pursuant to § 18(2) MStV (Medienstaatsvertrag):
Not applicable — the Services do not constitute a journalistic-editorial offering within the meaning of § 18(2) MStV.
6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
6.1 EU Online Dispute Resolution
The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform ceased operation on 20 July 2025. Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 repealed Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, under which the platform had been established. Consumers may contact us directly at hello@digitalfreedom.co.za or approach a competent alternative dispute resolution body in their country of residence.
6.2 Consumer Arbitration
The Provider is neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) pursuant to the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG), unless required by law.
7. LIABILITY FOR CONTENT
7.1 Own Content
We are responsible for our own content under the general law. The liability privileges of Art. 4 to 6 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 — made applicable to every service provider by § 7(1) DDG — concern information provided by a recipient of the service, not a provider’s own content, and are not invoked here.
7.2 Third-Party Content
There is no general obligation to monitor the information a provider transmits or stores, nor to actively seek facts indicating illegal activity — Art. 8 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, applicable through § 7(1) DDG. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general laws remain unaffected. However, liability in this regard is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement of the law becomes known. If we become aware of any such infringements, we will remove the content immediately.
8. LIABILITY FOR LINKS
Our Services may contain links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for such external content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal content was not recognizable at the time of linking. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of a violation. If we become aware of any infringements, we will remove such links immediately.
9. COPYRIGHT
Content and works created by the site operators on these pages are protected by copyright. Which law governs that protection is determined by the country for which protection is claimed — Art. 5(2) of the Berne Convention and Art. 8(1) of the Rome II Regulation — not by the operator’s seat and not by German law as a default. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution and any form of exploitation beyond the limits of the applicable copyright law require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non-commercial use only. Where content on this site was not created by the operator, third-party copyrights are respected and such content is marked as such. If you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please let us know; on becoming aware of such infringements we will remove the content without delay.
